Today's topic lesson was all about the stars and the constellations they form. We learnt about some of the most famous constellations and then got to make them using tooth picks and plasticine!
I'll give TWO STARS to whoever leaves a comment that explains what stars are and also what constellations are - make sure you explain it really clearly! This video might help...
Today in topic we learnt about the different phases of the moon by using Oreos - it was a yummy lesson!
Can you leave a comment to explain what these words mean?
Also, can you explain why the moon appears to change shape?
Today in our Space Explorers topic, we created a scale model of the Solar System - we couldn't believe how far away the planets were! In our model, 1 metre was equal to 150 million km in space!!!
We also tried to think of mnemonics to help us remember the order of the planets. We found this one...
Pizzas (though they'd have to be dwarf planet pizzas!)
Can you think of another mnemonic?
Here's a video to help...
